HIT provides opportunity for training and skill development of its employees. Since inception of HIT a centralized training facility Margalla Training Institute was established with an aim to impart basic / advance level training, skill development / enhancement for the employees in order to make them productive at the shop floor. Margalla Training Institute is affiliated with Punjab Board of Technical Education and Technical Education Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA).  Training courses from three months duration to two years in different disciplines are being run in HIT. Training courses on Computerized Numerically Controllled (CNC) machines for duration of eight weeks is also offered to trainees who have basic knowledge of machining on conventional Lathe / Milling machines & computers. In consonance with national policy to encourage youth to get technical training, applications are invited from all over the country for admission in MTI.  In this way HIT / MTI is playing a pivotal role for enhancement of skill development.


  • Internship for graduate engineers for duration of one year is nominated by Ministry of Defence Production through Ministry of Youth Affairs is arranged at HIT. Stipend during internship period is paid by Government of Pakistan as per rules.

  • Internship for duration of 8-12 weeks is provided to under graduate engineering students which is mandatory for acquiring engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy / Material sciences, Computer / Software engineering etc.
